State Senior Secondary School for Deaf and Dumb (Badhir, Bikaner)
Haldiram Educational Society has provided infrastructure and equipment support to better the learning and living conditions of eager learners from all age groups.
The school is essentially the effort of educator Sunita Gulati who got in touch with Haldiram Educational Society for financial help. This led to the association becoming a very fond one with children who are deaf and dumb and come from marginal parts of nearby villages. Many cannot afford any kind of education and therefore make use of the school’s hostel free of charge.
She has been awarded the National Teachers Award in 2022, by President of India Droupadi Murmu.
On July 23, 2023, Haldiram Educational Society gladly donated a sizable amount for the upkeep of the school’s infrastructure. This included upkeep of the school’s building along with the provision of a state-of-the-art Science laboratory fully equipped with smart boards too.
Children come from the age group of 10-18 years and are extremely eager to learn and experiment with new knowledge. Literally all of them are good at sports and are proficient in kabaddi, volleyball, basketball, cricket to name a few. The school is home to more than 50 boys and girls.
