Haldiram Government Senior Secondary Girls School (Soorsagar)
This senior secondary English medium school is the only one of its kind for girls in Bikaner. It is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and supports educational needs of girls eager to study and coming from marginal parts of society.
This is the first government English medium school of its kind in Bikaner. Built in the 1930s, the school was adopted by Haldiram Educational Society in 2019-20 and since then has been running successfully in collaboration with the state government and the school administration.
Haldiram Educational Society has been focussed in providing infrastructural support, so that study becomes a joyful and stress-free experience. For this, the Society made sizable financial contributions from 2019, to facilitate tables, chairs, smartboards, water points, toilets and upkeep of the school building.
Currently, there are 450 plus students studying in the school. The running success of the school is now evident from a lottery system that had to be adopted for eager admission seekers to the school.
In 2025, the school introduced Class 12 to support eager girl students wishing to study. Class 1-5 accommodates around 30 children; Class 6-8 accommodates 35 students and Class 9-12 accommodates 180 students (60 students per class).
The school also provides self-defence classes under the Rani Laxmi Bai Self Defence Training.
