Through support from the Haldiram Charitable Society, the small quaint city of Bikaner received its first government run state-of-the-art Haldiram Moolchand Cancer Hospital complete with gamma rays machines. The hospital provides free treatment and has a special train running that ferries patients from Bhatinda for treatment to the hospital on a daily basis.
The hospital has the lovely Moolchand Udhyan nearby that is also run and supported by the Haldiram Charitable Society. The hospital is situated in Prince Bijay Singh Memorial Hospital Campus that was the vision of late Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner and was later named after his son Vijay Singh. Today, the campus caters to the medical needs of the whole of Bikaner and those visiting from across Rajasthan too.
